We are a start-up life insurance company based in central Leicester, and we might be a bit different from what you are imagining… We exist because we think life insurance can be done better! We’re a new and fast-growing business, highly motivated to deliver world-class services, grow our platform and develop our products, brand and reach. The start-up environment means you’ll be getting stuck into what you need to do but also getting involved in things outside of your experience and functional expertise. If you need a precise job description and exact details of how you’ll spend your day we are not for you! 

 

Here’s the down-low:

  • Three days per week
  • Salary £21k – 23k pro rata (depending on experience)
  • Flexible working 
  • Starting January 2021

 

What you’ll be getting up to:

  • Managing and reporting on costs
  • Preparing and posting month end journals
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with forecasting
  • Admin duties

 

What we could really do with:

  • Ideally at least a couple of years of experience in an accounting role
  • Proficient Excel user and PowerPoint experience useful
  • Experience with Xero useful but not required
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Willingness to get involved / help other areas of the business if necessary
